What makes it special
More than a day on the calendar.
The journeyThe Journey to 100 begins in Malindi
Ahead of race day, Tajiriba Africa founder Leon Lubang’a will run 120 km solo from Malindi to Mombasa, carrying the Sports for Education fundraising drive on his own two feet before a single race bib is handed out. The Shimba Hills Ultra Run is where that journey is celebrated, where we will celebrate the run and the funds raised.
After the run from Malindi to Mombasa, join us at Shimba Hills on 12 December.

The impactChampions Building Champions
Every year, talented young athletes finish high school on the Coast with nowhere to go. Many have no pitch, no structure and no clear path forward. Sports for Education turns that vacuum into an opportunity: French language, digital skills and mentorship, funded one kilometre at a time.
Not charity. A pathway.
